GIS Portals
- Atlas: The Louisiana Statewide GIS (web site). Many datalayers available relevant to leasing and other uses in state coastal waters and the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to layers listed later on this page, Atlas statewide data include layers on coastal and ocean habitat, jurisdictions, and other human uses.
- Louisiana Geographic Information Center (LAGIC) (web site). Lists public geospatial data distributors for the state of Louisiana. LAGIC resources include a 2-DVD set titled the Louisiana GIS Digital Map, which was scheduled for release May 2007, but was not yet available as of September 2007.
- Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator’s Office (LOSCO) (web site). Data Catalog contains 87 downloadable GIS datalayers. Many of these are also available through Atlas or SONRIS. However, the summary descriptions of each dataset are more detailed and helpful at LOSCO
- SONRIS, maintained by the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, provides access to databases, document images, and online GIS. (web site)
